Oh Dear!

Responsibilities and Burdens; we bear
For Friends, Relatives and all dear
To their issues and concerns; we lend an ear
Insecurities, phobias and competition; feed our fear
Focus intact on cosmetics, costumes gown or gear
Inner voice and conscience, hard to hear
A parent; A spouse; A colleague; A boss; but NOT a lear
What an emotional mear
All for worldly materials that are seemingly near
Elusive nutrients, vegetables, dry-fruits, apples or pear
Illusional perspective with an emotional bag hanging by the rear
Reactions and consequences, suddenly surface like a sear
Wounds, scars and internal pain that often trigger a tear
Despite all, a mask, a smile, we must wear
Exist, justify, breathe, keep pushing ourselves Year on Year

Note: This is a simple poem about all words that end with the letters "ear" in ascending order from "a" to "z".
